Mr. Chia-Sheng Lin is a doctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging / Signal Analysis Lab, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. His work focuses on cybersecurity risk management and governance for AI Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), as well as secure system design in high-regulatory healthcare environments.
His research examines AI model security, threat modeling methodologies, vulnerability and attack surface analysis, Zero Trust implementation in healthcare systems, and the interpretation of international medical device regulatory frameworks, including those of the U.S. FDA and Taiwan TFDA.
With a background in law enforcement cybercrime investigation, he brings an attacker-oriented perspective to medical cybersecurity challenges, bridging regulatory expectations with engineering feasibility. His work emphasizes translating international standards such as IEC 81001-5-1 and AAMI TIR57 into structured, verifiable, and implementable security processes for cross-disciplinary teams.
He is dedicated to advancing dialogue between U.S. and Taiwanese medical cybersecurity communities and specializes in transforming complex regulatory and technical requirements into structured, actionable governance strategies.
