Rock Hsu

NYCU Chumung Hospital / CIO

Rock Hsu is a multi-faceted nursing professional and healthcare IT expert. He has successfully facilitated cross-hospital Electronic Medical Record (EMR) exchanges for 10 medical centers and built international medical information systems for allied nations.

Since 2015, he led Wan Fang Hospital's digital innovation and microservices transformation, laying the groundwork for the first comprehensive smart hospital accreditation within the Taipei Medical University (TMU) system.

In 2022, Rock became the Deputy CIO of TMU. He established the Information Security Division, designed the cloud cybersecurity architecture for the university and its affiliated hospitals, and served as an auditor for the Ministry of Education's cybersecurity team. Additionally, he serves as an external cybersecurity committee member for Taipei City Hospital, a smart healthcare committee member for the Taiwan Hospital Association, and a reviewer for government medical IT projects.

At the end of 2024, Rock took on the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at NYCU Chuming Hospital, where he is fully dedicated to building a secure, next-generation smart hospital IT environment.
