The second out of three stages of Taiwan’s open banking has been launched, which focuses on customer information inquiry. In the meantime, Hong Kong is going to come out the standards for the last two phases as well, which focuses on account information change and transactions. Open API is an unstoppable trend in the future. In addition to the security control of open API end, how third-party service providers (TSPs) implement security controls will also be an important issue. In this session, we will elaborate the information security challenges and suggested solutions based on OneDegree’s open API experience in HK to the audience who would like to participate in API ecosystem.

Stanley is OneDegree group’s Head of Cybersecurity. The group currently has 2 subsidiaries, OneDegree Global and OneDegree HK. OneDegree Global is a technology company based in Singapore. It develops the insurance core system and cybersecurity-as-a-service platform – Cymetrics. Cymetrics provides small and medium-sized enterprise a more flexible security assessment to their internet-facing applications and email service. OneDegree HK is a licensed digital insurer. It provides an end-to-end digitalized insurance journey to customer through the in-house developed insurance core system. Before joining OneDegree, Stanley is the information security officer of Citibank and senior consultant of Deloitte. His expertise is in information technology and information security governance.
